The hidden patriotic detail inside Brown’s jacket is drawing attention and becoming a talking point.
Zac Brown has given fans a closer look at the custom suit he wore while performing the national anthem at the UFC Freedom 250 event held at the White House, with one unexpected patriotic detail inside the jacket catching widespread attention.
In a video posted on Instagram, the Zac Brown Band frontman highlighted the craftsmanship behind the outfit, saying, “it’s all in the details,” while also praising designer Mitch Purgason, whom he called “a bada**.”
Brown then revealed the standout feature: the inside of the jacket displays a bold custom image of him riding a bald eagle, set against an American flag and fireworks. As he opened the jacket, he joked, “I might be riding an eagle inside my jacket,” while a woman believed to be his wife, Kendra Scott, reacted off camera.
He also pointed out additional patriotic touches, including “USA 250” stitched into his shirt, referencing the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.
Purgason shared that the suit was handcrafted in the U.S. using premium wool sourced from Italy and included intricate handmade details such as tri-color buttonholes and American flag accents. The shirt was also made in the USA, with the entire look styled by Chris Santos and tailored by Purgason.
Fans quickly reacted online, praising both the design and Brown’s performance of the national anthem at the White House event, where he was backed by the U.S. Marine Band.
