Shania Twain and Billy Currington Reunite for a Special On-Stage Performance of “Party for Two”

“Shania Twain Asks Billy Currington: ‘Billy, Are You Ready for a Party?'”

Billy Currington and Shania Twain delighted fans at the Faster Horses Festival in Brooklyn, Michigan, with a long-awaited reunion. The two artists joined forces on stage for the first time in almost two decades.

Excitedly, Shania Twain addressed Billy Currington, saying, “After all this time… So Billy, let me ask you one more time. Billy, are you ready for a party?”

She then turned to the audience, checking if they were ready as well, and kicked off the performance with remarkable energy, executing a high kick that seemed to reach her eyes’ level.

Together, they performed “Party for Two” side by side, captivating the audience, and concluded the song with a spirited singalong, creating a truly memorable and joyous experience for fans.

“Party for Two,” co-written by Shania Twain and her ex-husband Mutt Lange, was featured twice on Twain’s 2004 “Greatest Hits” album. One version was a pop track with Mark McGrath, while the version with Billy Currington became a successful Top 10 hit.

The song follows a call and response format, with Twain trying to convince Currington to join her party. She initiates with the lines, “I’m having me a party,” to which Currington replies, “I don’t think I can come.” Twain goes on to emphasize that it’s not just an ordinary party and promises that there will be plenty of one-on-one interactions.

The performance at the Faster Horses Festival marked a significant reunion for the two artists, as they sang “Party for Two” together on stage after nearly two decades.

Shania Twain is currently on her Queen Of Me Tour, which began in April in the Northwest. She is scheduled to perform in New Orleans before taking a break and resuming her tour in the U.K. in September.

While Billy Currington may not have been as visible recently, he recently released a new song titled “City Don’t,” and he continues to share new music on his social media platforms.
