“We’ll definitely be doing all the touristy things,” the country singer shared with PEOPLE, hinting at plans to explore popular sights during his time in the U.K.
Scotty McCreery is gearing up for a family-filled summer on the road. The country star, 31, revealed to PEOPLE at the Opry 100: A Live Celebration event in Nashville on March 19 that he’s excited for both musical moments and quality family time in the months ahead.
“Our plans revolve around the tour schedule, but we’re heading to the U.K. for a run of shows,” McCreery shared. “My whole family’s coming — my parents, my in-laws, my wife, and my kid.”
He added that they plan to turn the trip into a mini family vacation, blending performances with sightseeing. “We’ll be doing all the tourist stuff, taking plenty of pictures — it’s going to be a great time,” he said.
McCreery and his wife, Gabi, have been together since their high school days and tied the knot in June 2018.
The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Merrick Avery McCreery — lovingly called Avery — in October 2022.
The Five More Minutes singer revealed his upcoming U.K. tour dates in late 2024, with scheduled stops in Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, and London from May 23 to May 30.
“It’s been far too long, and I’m beyond excited to return to the U.K.,” McCreery shared in his official tour announcement. “We’ve received countless emails and social media messages from fans asking us to come back, and I’m thrilled to finally say, ‘We’re coming!’”
He went on to express his excitement about visiting new cities, adding, “I’ve never been to Belfast or Birmingham before, so I’m really looking forward to exploring those places. I’ve only been to Glasgow once for C2C a few years back, so it’s exciting to return on my own this time. And the band and I had such a great time in London and Manchester during our last visit that I knew we had to come back. Performing in the U.K. is always something special.”
