She explained that one of the toughest parts of touring is pushing through performances even when she’s feeling unwell.
Priscilla Block has never been shy about sharing the realities of her life, and her recent social media posts offered an honest look at the demands of touring.
The North Carolina-born artist recently told fans that a packed schedule during CMA Fest left her feeling completely drained and unwell. She admitted that her exhaustion levels were “very high” while preparing for a performance, highlighting the physical toll of constant travel and appearances.
Block reflected on how little the behind-the-scenes struggles of touring are discussed publicly, noting that audiences often only see the polished final product. In her experience, there are difficult days on the road that rarely make it into the spotlight, even though they are a regular part of an artist’s life.
She also revealed that she became “pretty sick” following CMA Fest, where she took part in multiple shows and events throughout the week. Describing her symptoms, she shared that she dealt with fever-like feelings, fatigue, and a sore throat, and even spent much of one day sleeping as her body tried to recover.
Despite still feeling unwell, Block explained that she had upcoming shows and emphasized the challenge of performing while sick. She said that one of the hardest parts of touring is having to push through low-energy moments and still find the strength to go on stage.
The singer added that crowd energy often helps carry her through difficult performances, noting that supportive and enthusiastic fans can give her a boost when she feels physically depleted. However, she also acknowledged the pressure artists feel not to cancel shows, even when they are unwell, since so much preparation goes into each performance.
Even with her health setback, Block said she still had many highlights from CMA Fest. Her busy week included filming a music video, hosting fan events, performing at multiple venues such as the Riverfront Stage, and even meeting reality TV personality Snooki during the festival in Nashville.
