Morgan Wallen dropped I’m the Problem on May 16.
Morgan Wallen closed out the inaugural Sand in My Boots festival with a mix of both classic hits and fresh tracks.
During his headline performance on Sunday, May 18, at Gulf Shores, Alabama, the “7 Summers” singer introduced new songs from his recently released album I’m the Problem.
“Me and a few close friends and teammates have been dreaming about putting together a music festival for a long time,” Wallen, 32, told the audience at the start of the show. “With a lot of effort and some incredible artists, we finally made it happen.”
After hearing the crowd’s enthusiastic response, he added, “Alright, cool. We’ll try to do this again sometime.”
Wallen also assured fans he wanted everyone to have a great time and planned to perform a mix of his biggest hits along with some favorites from the new album.
“It feels like after the first few days, you all are enjoying I’m the Problem just as much as I am, and I’m really thankful for that,” Wallen shared about his new album.
During the concert, he performed several tracks from the album, including “I’m the Problem,” “Superman,” “I Got Better,” “Kick Myself,” “Don’t We,” and “I’m a Little Crazy.”
Before playing “I’m a Little Crazy,” he joked, “I wanted to find the most classy way to talk a little s—.”
After performing “Just in Case,” Wallen joked with the audience, “Man, y’all really love those toxic songs. Looks like I’ll just keep singing them.”
During his set, he brought out special guests Bailey Zimmerman and ERNEST, and closed the night with an encore featuring “Last Night” and his 2016 debut single, “The Way I Talk.”
I’m the Problem is a 37-track album that includes previously released songs like “Superman,” “Just in Case,” “Love Somebody,” “I Ain’t Comin’ Back,” “Lies Lies Lies,” “I’m a Little Crazy,” and the title track.
Following the festival, Wallen—who recently skipped the ACM Awards—is preparing for the 2025 I’m the Problem Tour, which launches June 20 at Houston’s NRG Stadium.
“We created so many unforgettable memories on the One Night at a Time World Tour, and I’m beyond thankful for my fans and their incredible support every night,” Wallen said in a January press release. “Working on new music has motivated me to hit the road again and share these songs with all of you on the I’m The Problem Tour. Can’t wait to see y’all there.”
Throughout the tour, Wallen will be joined at select shows by artists like Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Koe Wetzel, Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley, and Anne Wilson.
Prior to the Sand in My Boots festival, Wallen made headlines in March for his sudden departure from the Saturday Night Live stage while serving as the musical guest.
