“Our goal with Band Together is all about Texans supporting one another,” Lambert explains.
In response to the devastating floods that have swept through Texas, country artists Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum are stepping up to help affected communities throughout their home state. They’ve announced a major benefit concert—Band Together Texas—bringing together a lineup of talented performers from the Lone Star State, including Cody Johnson, Ronnie Dunn, Kelly Clarkson, and more.
Scheduled for Sunday, August 17 at the Moody Center in Austin, the concert will raise funds for The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, a key organization leading flood relief efforts, as well as the Central Texas Community Foundation.
The event promises a night of powerful performances by a stellar group of Texas-born artists. In addition to Lambert and McCollum, attendees can expect to see Ryan Bingham, Wade Bowen, Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, Dylan Gossett, Jack Ingram, Cody Johnson, Lyle Lovett, Lukas Nelson, Jon Randall, and the Randy Rogers Band take the stage.
Lambert spoke about her deep pride in her roots and the unbreakable bond among Texans, especially during tough times. This unity inspired the name of the event—Band Together.
“One thing I admire about the Texas music scene and our community as a whole is how we come through for each other in moments of crisis,” Lambert said. “The damage and loss are heartbreaking, but what gives me hope are the acts of compassion and bravery we’ve seen. That’s the spirit we’re aiming to channel with Band Together—Texans standing by one another. We want this night to be one of healing, hope, and support for those impacted, and to raise funds for organizations doing the hard work on the ground.”
Alongside the musical acts, the event has attracted support from notable Texans, including actors Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid, former UT football coach Mack Brown, ex-players Emmanuel Acho, Colt McCoy, and Vince Young, MLB legend Roger Clemens, and television host Chris Harrison. Additional guests are expected to be announced.
A special segment of the evening will be dedicated to honoring first responders and flood victims, highlighting real-life stories of courage, survival, and community strength, shared on stage by emergency personnel.
The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country—a public charity based in Kerrville—is spearheading both immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts after the July 4 flooding, now recognized as one of the deadliest natural disasters in Texas history. As per recent reports, more than 130 people, including children, have died, with over 100 still missing. Entire neighborhoods have been devastated, leaving many families displaced and in urgent need of support.
Band Together Texas aims to bring in vital resources to help those impacted rebuild their homes and lives.
Parker McCollum echoed Lambert’s sentiments, underlining that the concert is about much more than music—it’s about unity and community. He also praised Lambert for her compassion and leadership.
“The devastation in the Hill Country is gut-wrenching,” McCollum shared. “These are my people, and this is where I’m from. Rebuilding won’t be easy, but we’re resilient. Miranda’s heart is as big as her voice, and I’m proud to join her in putting this benefit together to support our fellow Texans and bring a sense of hope through the power of music.”
