After receiving some final words of encouragement, the audience erupts into cheers as the curtains lift for Wilson’s performance.

The upcoming special was crafted by ABC News Studios’ production unit, under the guidance of Robin Roberts.

“I am eager to highlight stories about resilient and authentic women. Lainey is unquestionably one of those women, and I’m thrilled to bring her inspiring narrative to audiences worldwide,” Roberts, 63, expressed in a statement.

“It’s truly an honor to be involved in this project,” Wilson stated. “I extend my heartfelt thanks to Robin and ABC News Studios for shining a spotlight on my journey over the past year. I’m excited for everyone to see it.”

The special will debut just days before Wilson’s official induction into the Grand Ole Opry on Friday, June 7th.
