After making history as the first solo headliner and first country artist to perform inside the Las Vegas Sphere, Kenny Chesney is gearing up for a bigger, more expansive residency in 2026. Drawing from the lessons of last year’s shows, Chesney plans to add even more songs to the set list for his upcoming performances.
Reflecting on his debut in the immersive venue, the East Tennessee native said the Sphere challenged him creatively and allowed him to experiment with new ways to bring his stories to life.
“Performing at the Sphere let me experience songs the fans love in entirely new ways and changed how I think about them,” Chesney explained. “The production possibilities are so vast, it pushes you to go back and really make the most of it.”
The overwhelmingly positive response from fans has inspired Chesney to return this summer with a show that aims to be even more ambitious. While he and his band are still planning the specifics of the set list, Chesney emphasized that the venue’s unique layout enables him to perform songs that wouldn’t work in a stadium, including slower tracks and long-forgotten favorites.
“But it’s not just about size or spectacle,” he said. “The Sphere’s intimacy lets us explore songs in ways we can’t anywhere else. The band and I are discussing which tracks to add, but it’s too early to know exactly what the show will look like. I promise no song has been left unturned.”
Fans who attended Chesney’s initial Sphere shows know the experience is unlike any other. Months of experimentation with cutting-edge technology allowed him to reimagine his music with immersive visuals, enhanced sound, and moments of connection with the audience.
“Spending last year understanding the technology and how it changes the way we experience the music was incredible,” Chesney said. “I wanted to return and push the possibilities even further. The show can be experienced in so many different ways, and that’s part of the fun.”
Chesney also drew inspiration from the community atmosphere his fans create.
