“After we completed this track, it was obvious it had to be the single,” Kane Brown said.
Kane Brown is putting his love for his wife, Katelyn Brown, front and center with his new single Woman. While he has written love songs for her before, this track cranks up the energy, celebrating his devotion louder than ever.
The song was co-written with John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson, and Taylor Phillips, and was inspired by and dedicated to his wife, whom Brown calls “one in a million.” In a chat with Audacy’s Katie Neal, he revealed that the title came to him almost by chance, rescuing a writing session that was starting to feel stale.
“While I was warming up my food, the line ‘They’re talking about girls, but I got a woman’ popped into my head,” he said. “I went back to the session and shared it, and everyone agreed immediately—this was our next song. Somehow, it wrote itself.”
Even veteran songwriter Ashley Gorley, who has penned over 80 No. 1 hits, recognized the song’s hit potential. The upbeat track is a feel-good anthem about a man who isn’t interested in chasing other women because everything he wants is already at home. Despite friends encouraging him to go out, he stays committed to the woman he loves. Its infectious melody practically invites fans to sing and dance along.
On the chorus, Brown sings: “Yeah, they talkin’ ’bout girls / But I got a woman / Yeah, I got a woman right here in my hands… Oh yeah, and she got a man.”
The song’s playful, upbeat vibe evokes the energy of country classics like I Feel Like a Woman by Shania Twain, blending modern and pop-country influences. “It reminded me of I Feel Like a Woman and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” Brown said. “Once we finished it, picking it as the single was an easy choice.”
The single was released alongside a music video filmed at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, featuring Brown dancing alongside his wife and their daughter, Kingsley, giving the video a colorful ’90s throwback feel.
Brown described Woman as a glimpse into his evolving creative direction and a preview of his upcoming album, marking his first release since 2025’s The High Road.
