Kacey Musgraves has removed three performances from her upcoming Middle of Nowhere tour, including the concert that had been scheduled to launch the country singer’s North American run in Chicago.
The affected dates are the Aug. 20 opening-night show in Chicago, an Aug. 29 performance in Boston and a Sept. 2 stop in Brooklyn, N.Y., according to reports from the Daily Mail.
News of the Boston cancellation was shared online after a Reddit user posted a screenshot of the notification sent to ticket holders. The message indicated that people who had purchased tickets would receive automatic refunds.
Each of the three cities was scheduled to host Musgraves for multiple performances, meaning fans can still find tickets for the remaining dates in those markets through her official tour website.
Musgraves, 37, has not publicly explained why the three shows were canceled. A representative for the Grammy-winning singer also declined to comment when contacted by PEOPLE.
Musgraves originally unveiled the North American leg of the Middle of Nowhere tour in April. The itinerary includes stops in Toronto, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Salt Lake City and Los Angeles, among other cities. The tour is currently scheduled to conclude Oct. 27 at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena.
A rotating lineup of opening performers was announced alongside the tour, including Midland, Flatland Cavalry, Carter Faith, Estevie, Charles Wesley Godwin, William Beckmann, Gabriella Rose and The Brudi Brothers.
The tour supports Musgraves’ sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere, which arrived May 1.
