The country star, along with his nutrition coach Ian Larios, discussed the changes he has made to his diet and how he has managed to stay active while on tour.

Jelly Roll has achieved an impressive milestone in his weight-loss journey, announcing that he has lost 100 pounds so far.

The 39-year-old country star shared a video on his Instagram on October 22, declaring, “Next year when y’all see me, you won’t recognize me.”

“I’m going to get under a pile of weights in a way that I never had,” he stated, as his nutrition coach, Ian Larios, showcased what the singer—whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord—has been doing to stay on track during his ongoing Beautifully Broken tour.

“We just passed the halfway point of the tour, and Jelly’s been crushing it,” Larios remarked.

“We’re either walking around the arena, playing basketball, or boxing,” Larios explained, noting that Jelly Roll has just surpassed his 100-pound weight loss.

Larios mentioned that the “Need a Favor” singer has been following a high-protein diet and shared some of Jelly’s favorite healthy recipes. He highlighted a “little bit fancier” take on Jelly’s preferred pre-show snack: a banana topped with Manuka honey, Stevia, and dark chocolate shavings, which Larios claims provides the energy he needs before a performance.

Additionally, the nutrition coach described how Jelly eats after a show, demonstrating a healthier version of Nashville hot chicken by eliminating the oil and batter from the recipe.

“We’re still having a high-protein meal,” he noted while preparing a coating made from potato flour and a “little bit” of rice flour.

Larios explained that he boils French fries in bone broth, which not only increases the protein content but also gives them a nice crunch when they are air-fried.

“This tricks your brain into thinking it’s that delicious greasy Nashville deep-fried hot chicken. He’s going to feel like he’s eating at home,” Larios explained.
