Dolly Parton Reveals Upcoming Series on Apple Radio

Dolly Parton is set to feature on an Apple radio station with her new series, “What Would Dolly Do? Radio.” This four-part series will air on Apple Music’s global live-streaming radio station, Apple Music 1, with episodes broadcast weekly in anticipation of her upcoming rock album, “Rockstar,” set to release on November 17.

Parton, a native of Sevier County, Tennessee, will share her beloved stories, sharp wit, and wisdom, often in a humorous and entertaining manner. In the first episode, titled “Behind The Seams,” she discusses her appearance, legacy, and the elements that contributed to her becoming an international icon. The second episode delves into her career across various platforms, including stage and screen. The third episode is dedicated to her philanthropic work, and the final episode explores her transition into the rock genre.

“What Would Dolly Do? Radio” will be broadcast weekly on Wednesdays at 5pm PT / 7pm CT / 8pm ET on Apple Music 1, starting on October 25. It can be streamed live for free or accessed on-demand with an Apple Music subscription at apple.co/am-1. The series will also be available on Apple Podcasts, allowing Apple Music subscribers to follow the show and receive automatic downloads and notifications of new episodes when they become available on-demand.


Dolly Parton recently made her debut on CMT with a touching and heartfelt cover of 4 Non Blondes’ hit “What’s Up?” featuring the band’s lead singer, Linda Perry.

Parton expressed her admiration for Linda Perry, the original songwriter of the song, and her love for the track itself.
