A Tennessee real estate company is reportedly pursuing compensation from the artists and their E3 Chophouse Nashville business partner, Adam LaRoche, over the dispute.
Country music artists Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, along with their business partners, are reportedly being sued for more than $1.4 million over claims of unpaid rent connected to their former Nashville restaurant, E3 Chophouse Nashville.
GBT Realty Corporation, a Tennessee-based real estate firm, filed a lawsuit against Bryan, Aldean, former MLB player Adam LaRoche, and the restaurant’s leasing company, Outlaws LLC, alleging that rent payments were not made for the property. The complaint, filed on June 12, comes months after E3 Chophouse Nashville unexpectedly closed in February.
According to the lawsuit, the restaurant’s owners and investors allegedly failed to pay rent for January and February and breached the terms of their lease agreement. The filing claims that the ownership group stopped making monthly payments, shut down the restaurant, and ended operations without completing their lease obligations.
GBT Realty is seeking compensation for the unpaid rent, including interest, as well as future rent payments owed through the remainder of the lease agreement, which is scheduled to run until August 2029.
The legal action follows a previous court decision that reportedly found the E3 Chophouse ownership group responsible for more than $1.4 million in damages. The restaurant’s legal representatives have since challenged that ruling through an appeal.
Representatives for Bryan and Aldean have not publicly commented on the lawsuit, while responses from GBT Realty and E3 Chophouse Nashville representatives were also requested.
A spokesperson for the restaurant’s ownership group stated that the partners were not aware of the latest complaint before it was filed and said efforts are underway to resolve the matter.
E3 Chophouse Nashville, which opened in 2019, announced its closure in February through a statement on its website and social media pages, saying it was temporarily suspending operations while evaluating future plans for the location.
The restaurant said it was reviewing market conditions and considering possible changes, including a potential rebrand or new concept. However, reports later indicated that the property’s keys had been returned, suggesting the closure could become permanent.
