The country singer mentioned the possibility of replacing Brad Pitt with Harry Styles in an upcoming rendition of ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much?’

Shania Twain hinted at the possibility of updating her 1997 hit song “That Don’t Impress Me Much” during an appearance on the BBC podcast Sidetracked with Annie and Nick on June 3. In the track, Twain famously sings, “OK, so you’re Brad Pitt / That don’t impress me much.”

During the interview, Twain was asked if she would replace Brad Pitt with another celebrity if she were writing the lyrics today. She suggested that she might do so during her performance at the Glastonbury Festival in England on June 30, mentioning Harry Styles as a potential replacement. “I would say Harry Styles . . . and it sings good too,” Twain commented.

Twain elaborated on her choice, likening Styles to a modern-day James Dean in terms of rugged charm and charisma. She also revealed that she had previously substituted Pitt with another person during a live show, singing about Ryan Reynolds since he was in attendance. Twain described the moment as “very cute.”

In a January 2023 interview with, Twain reminisced about meeting Styles backstage at one of his shows when he was still on the rise. Styles mentioned listening to Twain’s music with his mom while growing up.

In a 2017 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Styles expressed admiration for Shania Twain, stating that his “music and fashion [were] influenced [by] Shania Twain. I think she’s amazing.”

In 2018, Styles covered Twain’s song “Still the One” with his opening tour act at the time, Kacey Musgraves. Additionally, he asked Twain to call his mom on her birthday as a gesture of appreciation. Twain mentioned in a 2023 interview with that she and Styles have “stayed in touch ever since.”

Years later, in 2022, Styles extended an invitation to Twain to join him onstage at Coachella. Together, they performed “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” and “Still the One,” delighting the audience with their collaboration.

In a 2023 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Twain revealed that she “almost missed” the Coachella performance because she was out of the country during the first weekend. Initially, she had agreed to perform during the second weekend when Styles asked her to join him. However, he later expressed a strong desire for her to perform during the first weekend instead. Despite the logistical challenge, Twain ultimately made it work.

Reflecting on the experience, Twain admitted she didn’t initially grasp the significance of the moment but appreciated the surprise and the positive reaction from the audience.

Looking ahead, Twain is scheduled to perform at the Glastonbury Festival alongside other artists such as Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, and more.
