Beyoncé kicked off her highly anticipated 2025 Cowboy Carter Tour with the first of five performances at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on Monday night (April 28).
In a nearly three-hour set spanning 39 songs, the icon delivered nearly every track from her country album, alongside a selection of fan-favorite hits from her expansive pop catalog.
New songs like “16 Carriages” and “Ameriican Requiem” shared the spotlight with classics such as “Diva” and “Crazy in Love,” with a variety of mashups and interpolations also making an appearance.
This marked Beyoncé’s first live tour in two years, and she made sure to elevate the experience. The show was focused and streamlined, forgoing an opener or surprise guest appearances, except for a brief appearance by her children.
Beyoncé kept the audience engaged with an extended performance, delivering a high-energy show with minimal extra flourishes, ensuring fans got a memorable experience.
Beyoncé’s tour production was nothing short of breathtaking. The audio-visual aspects were meticulously crafted, leaving the audience in awe. From glowing neon beer bottles to an onstage mechanical bull, she fully embraced the country and Western theme, elevating it to extraordinary levels throughout the performance.
The grand finale came with the second-to-last song, “16 Carriages,” where she soared above the crowd in a suspended convertible, with an American flag billowing from the back.
Beyoncé’s oldest daughter, 13-year-old Blue Ivy, has been a part of her mom’s performances since the 2023 Renaissance Tour, and she made her return on Night 1 of the Cowboy Carter Tour.
However, at the Los Angeles show, Beyoncé’s younger daughter, 7-year-old Rumi, also took the stage. Rumi joined her mom during the performance of “Protector,” walking out hand in hand with Beyoncé and flashing a smile as Beyoncé knelt down to sing the song directly to her.
The Cowboy Carter Tour will move forward with several performances in nine cities, concluding with two back-to-back shows in Las Vegas on July 25 and 26.
