Pearce’s reaction sparked cheers from the audience, who began chanting her name in support.
Carly Pearce’s concert at the O2 Academy Birmingham briefly came to a halt when some fans in the crowd became disruptive, leading the Truck On Fire singer to call them out directly.
During one of the biggest sold-out headlining shows of her career, Pearce took control of the situation, politely addressing a rowdy group of women in the audience.
“We’re all here to just have a good night. You know what I mean? We’re all friends at my shows,” she told the crowd from the stage. “And girl, I am sick, and I ain’t got time for it, okay?”
The room fell silent as the Kentucky native addressed the situation.
“So just please. I love you, I’m just saying, please don’t make everybody around you angry, okay?” she added, maintaining her composure.
Moments later, the audience erupted in support, chanting, “Carly, Carly, Carly,” applauding the singer for handling the situation with grace and standing up for her fans.
A fan-captured TikTok video shows security escorting the disruptive individual—or individuals—out of the venue. As they were being removed, Pearce playfully waved goodbye from the stage and quipped, “Ain’t nobody got time for that.”
Currently wrapping up a month of performances in Europe on her headlining hummingbird world tour, the GRAMMY winner has been battling a tough case of the flu.
Despite feeling under the weather, Pearce remained committed to giving fans the best show possible. For the Birmingham concert, she opted for a stripped-down performance, ensuring the experience would still be memorable while allowing her to preserve her energy.
“I don’t feel like I’m giving you the best if we play a big full-band set because I’m fighting,” Pearce admitted at the start of the show. “However, what we’re about to do—I got with the band and my crew earlier, like five minutes before the show—I was like, I don’t know if I can do this. We’re going to do a little bit more stripped down of all the songs.”
Earlier that day, Pearce reassured fans with a heartfelt message: “With the help of my doctor & team, we WILL finish out this tour strong, and I will give you EVERYTHING I have. Manchester, Belfast, Glasgow & Dublin—if the shows look a little different, know that I promise to show up each night giving you my all.”
Staying true to her word, Pearce has continued performing despite her illness. According to her website, she has three shows left in Europe before taking a well-deserved break. Her next scheduled concert isn’t until March 19, when she will take part in the Grand Ole Opry 100 celebration.
