Trisha Yearwood is stepping into new digital territory.
To celebrate the release of her latest album The Mirror, which dropped on Friday, July 18, the country music icon revealed she’ll be hosting her first-ever TikTok Live session this Sunday, July 20 — and she’s streaming it straight from her kitchen.
In a video message to fans, Yearwood, 60, shared her excitement while dressed casually in a pink sweatshirt and baseball cap: “Hi, Trisha here. We just wrapped rehearsal. I’m so excited The Mirror is finally out,” she said. “We’re gonna be at Trisha’s Kitchen on Sunday, July 20 at 12:30. We’re going live on TikTok. Come hang with us!”
The kitchen in question is inside Trisha’s Kitchen, a space located at the Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk — the Nashville venue owned by Yearwood and her husband, country superstar Garth Brooks.
Fans quickly took to the comments to show their excitement. “Ohhh we gettin’ fancy up in here! See you there! 🙌🏼,” one wrote. Another added, “Soooo absolutely excited for you! Get it, TY!!!✊🏼💗🙏🏼.” One fan summed up the excitement best: “I’ve never registered so fast!!!! 😭❤️🔥😍.”
The Mirror marks Yearwood’s first album release since 2019 — and a deeply personal milestone. The project, her 16th studio album, is also her first where she has co-writing credits on every track. According to a press release, the record explores themes of resilience, personal identity, forgiveness, and feminine empowerment.
Yearwood reflected on her journey as a songwriter in a recent statement: “When I was 19 years old, someone told me I wasn’t a songwriter, and I let that be the truth for a very long time,” she admitted. “But a few years ago, something changed. I started writing — and I haven’t stopped.”
She added, “You’d think that after all this time I’d have nothing new to say, but I feel like I’m starting a brand-new chapter.”
The three-time Grammy winner expressed gratitude for the creative team behind the album, sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram: “Releasing this album is such an empowering step for me. I’m just so thankful. I hope you love it as much as I do. 🩵”
She also gave shoutouts to the fellow writers featured on the project, acknowledging their role in bringing her new music to life.
