Scotty McCreery Takes a Tumble on Stage and Jokes: ‘Who Left That There?’

The country star confessed that it had been “quite a while” since his last on-stage fall.
During a recent performance, Scotty McCreery had a minor slip on stage, but he managed to turn the moment into a lighthearted one. The country singer posted a video capturing the incident, showing him stumbling and landing on the stage mid-song. Instead of letting the fall dampen the mood, McCreery embraced the mishap with humor, playfully shouting, “Who put that there?” before seamlessly continuing his performance.
The video features McCreery’s fall accompanied by the text, “The Stage: 1, Me: 0.”
After the performance, the chart-topping artist looked back on the incident, joking, “It’s been a minute since I’ve done that.”
McCreery assured fans that he was alright, though he admitted he landed “right on my wrist.”
One of his band members quipped, “Well, if you weren’t hurting before, you are now.”
After the show, the cameraman roamed the venue, asking each band member to share their “highlight of tonight.” Unsurprisingly, everyone playfully agreed that “Scotty falling” stole the spotlight.
One bandmate admitted they were briefly concerned, saying, “I was a little worried. I’m glad he didn’t get hurt, but honestly, it was kind of amusing.”
McCreery’s post even drew a response from fellow North Carolina native Chris Lane, who commented, “Been there a million times,” followed by several laughing emojis.
Fans also joined in, praising McCreery for his smooth recovery.
“I’ve watched this at least five times, and I crack up every time at Scotty’s ‘recovery’ 😍😍 So funny,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “The real highlight of the night was Scotty getting back up — c’mon now! 👏”
Scotty McCreery is currently on the road as part of Kane Brown’s The High Road Tour, with performances lined up throughout the weekend in Canada.
Before joining the tour, McCreery spoke with Country Now about the experience, sharing his excitement about teaming up with Brown.
“Kane is such a great guy,” McCreery said. “He’s got so many amazing songs and incredible fans. We’ve only shared the stage once or twice before, so I’m really looking forward to doing a full tour with him.”
Another highlight McCreery is anticipating while touring with Brown is the chance for their families to connect.
“I’m excited for our families to spend time together, get the kids together, and just hang out,” McCreery shared. “Honestly, the backstage moments might be what I’m looking forward to the most. The shows will be great, but the fun behind the scenes is always special.”
