Miranda Lambert Set to Headline The Truth’s Grand Opening in Nashville With Special “Crisco” Celebration

Miranda Lambert is marking the release of her upcoming album, Crisco, with a major hometown event. The country star is set to headline the inaugural night of Nashville’s newest live entertainment venue, The Truth, in a special one-night performance.

Situated in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston area, the 4,400-seat venue will officially open with “Miranda Lambert: One Night Only.” The intimate event will celebrate Crisco and feature Lambert performing with a 12-piece string section, adding a new dimension to her music in the city that has been central to her career.

Lambert said the experience of working with strings during the album’s recording process showed her how dramatically they could change the feel of a song. She explained that bringing that sound to a live audience with her complete setlist is something she has never previously had the chance to do. Performing it for the first time as part of The Truth’s opening night, she added, will make the occasion particularly meaningful.

The concert will feature some of Lambert’s biggest hits, while also giving fans an early taste of songs from Crisco.

The venue announcement follows a series of unusual hints that appeared throughout Nashville. Among the clues were saddles decorated with disco-inspired designs, including a custom-painted saddle displayed at Lambert’s Casa Rosa establishment on Broadway.

The visual campaign reflects the musical direction of Crisco, which combines the familiar spirit of country dance halls with the flashy, energetic atmosphere associated with disco.
