Kane Brown Pushes Back New Album Release, Revealing Why Fans Will Have to Wait Longer

“I’m incredibly excited about this project. I know I’ve said it before, but I truly feel like this is one of my favorite albums yet,” Brown shared.
Kane Brown is looking ahead to his next chapter as he continues recovering from a recent golf-related accident that resulted in 23 stitches and a mild concussion.
During a recent conversation with Bobby Bones, Brown discussed his upcoming album and explained why its release has been moved from fall 2026 to spring 2027.
The country star acknowledged that he went through a stretch when he wasn’t particularly inspired by the music he had been working on. That uncertainty ultimately gave him more time to rethink the album and decide what direction he wanted to take.
Brown said he initially considered making the project feel more traditional, while also experimenting with sounds beyond modern country. He mentioned being interested in incorporating influences from older music, including styles reminiscent of the 1950s.
However, conversations with other people in the industry helped him reconsider the idea that the entire album needed to have one consistent sound. They reminded him that his previous albums had included a variety of styles, so there was no reason to force his new project into a single sonic identity.
After taking time to work through those ideas, Brown said he has become much more enthusiastic about the album. He revealed that the project will include several songs written by other songwriters, including three or four tracks he believes could become major hits.
Brown said he is especially excited about the material and admitted that he knows he often makes that claim, but he genuinely considers this collection one of his favorites.
He also explained that listeners shouldn’t necessarily expect the album to be his most deeply personal work. Instead, his goal is to put together songs he truly enjoys and believes his audience will love as well.
With a laugh, Brown summed up his approach simply: he’s focused on finding hits.
One song he’s previously teased, however, will have a more personal connection. The track draws inspiration from a song Brown enjoyed growing up, Shania Twain’s 1995 country hit “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?”
