Jon Pardi Reveals Real-Life Moment With Wife Summer Behind New Single Boots Off

Jon Pardi has a knack for turning boots into chart-topping hits. After Head Over Boots and Dirt On My Boots, he’s back with another boots-themed track, Boots Off, from his album HONKYTONK HOLLYWOOD (MCA). The lively, dance-floor-ready single was recently named one of the most added songs at country radio.
Co-written by Pardi, Luke Laird, and Wyatt McCubbin, Boots Off captures the flirtatious energy of a late-night outing. With driving, up-tempo rhythms and honky-tonk instrumentation, the song follows a night of drinks and dancing that quickly turns playful and steamy. Pardi’s rugged vocals paired with the song’s suggestive imagery bring the chemistry of the evening to life.
“’Cause we drank our last drink, danced our last dance / There’s a whole lot more than a pretty good chance / We’ll be loving ’til the sun comes up / When my blue-jean baby starts to come undone,” he sings with urgency. “No, I can’t get my boots off quick enough / No, I can’t get my boots off quick enough.”
Pardi revealed that the inspiration for Boots Off came from a real-life moment with his wife, Summer, after a show. “It’s kind of self-explanatory,” he said. “After a show, when you’re sweaty and trying to get your boots off and you’ve got a sexy wife like Summer, it can get…fun.”
He added that the song was written purely for enjoyment, leaning into its playful, flirty vibe. “Come home and you’re struggling to get your boots off — that’s where the funny, playful energy comes from, and it leads right into round two for the night,” he explained.
Boots Off is part of HONKYTONK HOLLYWOOD, a 17-track album released last April. The collection reflects a more mature sound for Pardi, shaped by his experiences as a father, while still keeping the late-night, party-ready tracks fans love.
Pardi is gearing up for a busy tour schedule across the U.S. and U.K., including major festival appearances. His next performance is set for February 21 at the Bulls, Bands, and Barrels event in Worcester, Massachusetts, with additional festival dates planned throughout the summer.
