Jelly Roll shared the update with fans during the final stop of the Big Ass Stadium Tour with Post Malone, saying he plans to take some time away to focus on healing. The announcement comes after he and Bunnie Xo officially finalized their divorce in July.
Jelly Roll says he’s ready to step away from the spotlight for a while after wrapping up an extensive stretch of live performances.
During the final Big Ass Stadium Tour concert with Post Malone at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City on July 28, the 41-year-old singer thanked fans for their support and reflected on the unforgettable experience. He told the audience that, after completing one final performance in Colorado Springs, he planned to take an extended break to rest and recover.
Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, closed out his touring schedule with a headlining show at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs on July 30. Justin Moore and Ashley Cooke joined the event as supporting acts.
His announcement came shortly after court records confirmed that his divorce from Bunnie Xo was finalized in July. The singer had filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee, in May after a decade of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. Court documents listed May 9 as the couple’s separation date.
Since breaking into the mainstream in 2022, Jelly Roll has maintained an exceptionally busy touring schedule, performing at more than 375 concerts. His most recent album, Beautifully Broken, was released in October 2024 and later earned the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Country Album.
