Bunnie Xo joked about feeling “free” after her separation from Jelly Roll, comparing her marriage to a decade-long prison sentence during a recent episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast.

In a clip released Thursday, June 25, Bunnie, 46, talked about the messages she has received from men after news surfaced that Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason DeFord) had filed for divorce. She also shared more insight into their relationship and how she has been handling the attention following their split.

Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, said she had only replied to two of the messages she received but decided to read some of the more unusual ones to her podcast co-hosts.

One message from a man claimed he was about to finish a 10-year prison sentence and asked Bunnie to spend time with him once he was released.

Reacting to the message, Bunnie joked that she had no issue with the man being incarcerated, but questioned his approach of immediately asking her out. Her co-hosts pointed out that his request seemed to suggest he expected too much too soon.

The conversation led to jokes among the group, with Bunnie laughingly comparing her own recent separation to “getting out” of a 10-year sentence as well. She later clarified that she was only joking and simply having fun with the conversation.

Jelly Roll, 41, filed for divorce from Bunnie in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18, according to court documents. The couple listed their separation date as May 9, with irreconcilable differences cited as the reason for the filing.

The divorce news came as a surprise to fans, especially since the couple had often shared their relationship publicly and continued showing support for each other in recent months.
