The new bar and live music space will be located within Eric Church’s Broadway venue, Chief’s.
Ashley McBryde is turning her personal journey toward sobriety into something tangible with the launch of Redemption Bar—a bold, distinctive venue on Nashville’s iconic Broadway. Inspired by her own path to healing, McBryde’s new space is built around themes of authenticity, support, and storytelling. It’s meant to be a welcoming, judgment-free zone that celebrates real-life experiences and meaningful connections.
Opening on August 28, Redemption Bar will occupy the fifth floor of Chief’s, Eric Church’s six-story venue. McBryde has teamed up with Church’s team to bring this innovative concert and bar experience to life.
What sets Redemption Bar apart from other Broadway spots is its focus on zero-proof cocktails—creative, flavorful drinks inspired by song lyrics that helped McBryde through some of her most difficult times. While standard alcoholic beverages will still be available, the emphasis is on offering inclusive, non-alcoholic options that prove you don’t need alcohol to enjoy a night out or raise a glass.
“When the chance came to have a place on Broadway, I knew I wanted it to reflect what’s been important in my own life—a place that gives a voice to those often overlooked and ensures everyone feels they belong,” McBryde explained.
In June, Ashley McBryde reached a significant milestone—three years of sobriety—and now she’s turning that achievement into a source of inspiration and inclusivity for others walking a similar path. With her new venue, Redemption Bar, McBryde aims to ensure that those who choose not to drink can still enjoy well-crafted, non-alcoholic beverages while socializing in a traditional bar setting.
“As someone who’s been sober for three years, I’ve often heard responses like, ‘Why are you at a bar if you’re not drinking?’ or been offered little more than soda water with lime,” McBryde told Rolling Stone. “Some of my favorite social spaces became unwelcoming, simply because I changed what was in my glass. That’s why it was so important to create a venue where not drinking isn’t an afterthought—it’s a priority. Of course, alcohol will still be available at Redemption, because this is a place for everyone to feel comfortable.”
In addition to the inventive drink options, guests will also be treated to live performances on Redemption Bar’s in-house stage. The venue plans to spotlight emerging artists, giving them a chance to perform original music and share their stories with a wider audience.
“Songwriters are at the heart of Nashville’s music scene,” McBryde added. “I want to give tourists on Broadway a chance to hear authentic, original songs from the people who are keeping the spirit of this town alive.”
